Santa Rosa Junior College Human Resource Certificate and Associates Degree
The Human Resource Certificate consists of 23 units and serves as the Human Resource major for the A.A. Degree. For students who have completed a Bachelor Degree, the HR Certificate requirements and the units from the Bachelor Degree will satisfy most, if not all, of the requirements for the A.A. with a major in Human Resources. We suggest students take at least two semesters to complete the certificate /major; students can work at their own pace. The program emphasizes a hands-on “how to” approach, as well as principals and concepts.
For course offerings, go to www.santarosa.edu and look under schedule of classes. Most classes are offered on Saturdays or evenings, depending on the semester.

For details and to register: www.sonoma.edu/exed/human-resource
This program teaches the skills and knowledge required to successfully manage the human resources in today’s complex business environment. The program is a 12 week intensive course covering the main aspects of Human Resource Management, and is offered every spring and fall semester. Rather than using only one instructor for the course, multiple instructors with significant professional expertise lead each of the weekly topics to impart professional knowledge and practical application of HRM concepts. The program is sponsored jointly by the Department of Business Administration and Extended and International Education at Sonoma State University. It is recognized by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) as a preferred provider and offers Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for the SHRM-CP (SM) or SHRM-SCP (SM).
